Fr Arthur Maloney was travelling on the Britannia with Fr Michael Fox when the ship was sunk.

His letter to “The Redemptorist Record” of 16 April 1941, published in the July/August 1941 edition, describes how they survived the attack and were picked up by a cargo ship on its way to Montevideo.

The letter was reproduced in an issue of “Reality” in March 2017.
